Create A Campaign

Under Campaigns click the "+" button to create a new campaign.  Note that on the Dashboard you can also click the “Create New Campaign” button to get to the campaign creation screen.

You get a screen with four big buttons:

(If you don’t have an active domain the Mail buttons will be greyed out, and a notice will ask you to add a new domain.  Note: you don't need a domain to send to Amazon email addresses.)

The big buttons are what you click to create a campaign.  For example, in the above example we can click on the big “a” Amazon button to create a campaign using Amazon contacts, or the "a" Coupon button for a Coupon campaign to Amazon contacts.  If you have other templates created you will have those buttons available.

Amazon Contacts Campaign

Click the big Amazon “a” for an Amazon Contacts campaign.  You get this screen:

To set up the campaign give it a name, choose which list to use, and the Template, which should be one of the Amazon Contacts Templates you’ve created.

Select whether to schedule the campaign, or start it immediately.

Note: only templates without the ${coupon} variable will show up as an option for and Amazon Contacts campaign.  See the section Templates | Coupon Templates above.

The Sender option pulls from your SellerMail | Profiles.  Any Profiles you have set in SellerMail | Settings will appear as an option in the Sender pulldown.

Note that you also have an option to “Use custom sender name/email”.  If you choose to add a custom email, it is important to remember: Any Sender Email must be an email which is an Approved Sender in your Amazon Seller Central.

You can send a Test to yourself.  If you choose that option put an email in the Test e-mails field, then choose Send Test E-Mails.  You will get a sample of 5 emails to that address.

Click Start to send the campaign.

Clicking Start will send you back to the Campaigns list.  The list you started will show “Activating”.

Note: As messages are sent you’ll also see them show under Sent in your Amazon Seller Central Messages.

See the end of this section for more on the Campaigns screen and column metrics.

Amazon Contacts Campaign With Coupons

If you’re creating a coupon campaign, you will need to have created a Template with the ${coupon} code or codes in it.  To make it a Coupon Template, just add the ${coupon} variable(s) to a template.  See the section Templates | Coupon Templates above.

You’ll also need to create a list of single-use coupon codes.

  1. Create your single-use coupons in your Amazon Seller Central account.
  2. Make a CSV file of those coupons.
  3. Create the coupon campaign.

To create a Coupon campaign click the + under Campaigns and then select the big Amazon Contacts With Coupons button.  You’ll notice the setup screen looks the same, with the addition of a Choose Coupon File option:

When you go to choose a Template, any template with a ${coupon} variable will show up in the list of options.

The Coupon file must be a list of coupons, with one series of coupons in each column of the CSV file.

If you’re using more than one {coupon} variable, that means you will be inserting coupon codes for more than one product.  Generate the coupons, then, in the CSV file place the coupon codes for the first {coupon} variable in column 1, {coupon-2} in column 2, etc.  As follows:

{coupon}    =    Column 1

{coupon-2} =    Column 2

{coupon-3} =    Column 3

And so on.

Next select a Sender (sender profiles are set in your SellerMail | Settings)

Note, you can send a Test to yourself.  If you choose that option put an email in the Test e-mails field, then choose Send Test E-Mails.  You will get a sample of 5 emails to that address.

Select whether to schedule the campaign, or start it immediately.

Click Start to send the campaign.

Clicking Start will send you back to the Campaigns list.  The list you started will show “Activating”.
