Video marketing has expanded since the early days of television advertising. No longer is marketing focused solely on directly promoting a brand.
Many companies have chosen more indirect methods of advertising their business, and have switched from strictly TV to other platforms that allow them to target their audience better …
TIPS & TRICKS
We’ve been updating and improving both our main website and the ManageByStats interface, with enhancements to the look-and-feel as well as usability. More updates are coming.
Recently we rolled out a “Light Theme” option for MBS, to go with the existing “Dark Theme”. The new Light Theme will become the default. For the moment we’re maintaining the classic theme to give users time to adjust.
This week’s Tips & Tricks will show you how to switch between these themes.
If you’re in the Classic theme, you can switch to one of the new themes under the Help menu:
That takes you to the new “Light Theme” by default. You can then switch to the “Dark Theme”, or back to the old theme, under the Help (?) at the top left of menu:
While the functionality of the new themes is the same as for the Classic, there are some instances of placement that can be different. Note that we’re updating the Knowledge Base to reflect the new themes, so bear with us as that change is made.
These things are in flux at the moment, and we greatly appreciate your patience as we make the transition to this more modern interface.
We’re doing it to make things better, easier and faster for you.
THE WORLD OF AMAZON
Amazon dominates global e-commerce, but has its Aussie operation turned Australian online retailing on its head as predicted? One year on, has it lived up to the pre-launch hype?

A Police Sergeant Is Interviewing 3 Men Who Are Training To Become Detectives …
To test their skills in recognizing a suspect, the sergeant shows the first guy a picture for 5 seconds, then hides it.
“This is your suspect,” he says. “How would you recognize him?”
The first guy answers, “That’s easy. We’ll catch him fast because he only has one eye!”
“What?” The sergeant is flustered by this ridiculous response. He tells the first guy — can’t believing he has to: “The picture is of his side profile.”
Irritated, he moves on. He flashes the picture for 5 seconds at the second guy and asks him, “This is your suspect, how would you recognize him?”
The second guy smiles, flips his hair and says, “Ha! He’d be too easy to catch because he only has one ear!”
The sergeant honestly can’t believe it. “What’s the matter with you two? Of course only one eye and one ear are showing because it’s a picture of his side profile! Is that the best answer you can come up with?”
Extremely frustrated at this point, he shows the picture to the third guy, and in a very testy voice asks, “This is your suspect, how would you recognize him?” Quickly he adds, “Think hard before giving me a stupid answer.”
The third guy looks at the picture intently for a moment and says, “The suspect wears contact lenses.”
The sergeant is surprised and speechless because he really doesn’t know himself if the suspect wears contacts or not.
“Well, that’s an interesting answer,” he says. “Wait here while I check his file.” He leaves the room and goes to his office, checks the suspect’s file on his computer, and comes back with a beaming smile on his face.
“Wow! I can’t believe it. It’s true! The suspect does, in fact, wear contact lenses. Good work! How were you able to make such an astute observation?”
“That’s easy,” the third guy replies. “He can’t wear regular glasses because he only has one eye and one ear.”
