ManageByStats This Week – Issue 1906
Lots of exciting things happening. We’re sure you’ve felt the buzz in the air. SellerCon is getting closer, which is a huge event for Amazon sellers. It’s coming up in June, so there’s time to get ready. We’ll be there and we’d love to see you.
Another big event for Sellers is the Prosper Show, and it’s also nigh. Heading for us mid-March, we’ll be there with bells on, and have a discount code if you’re interested in being our guest.
See the section MBS Out & About for the latest on what we’re up to and where we’ll be.
These guys are amazing. We’ve been using them successfully for the last year, and we like to recommend them when we get the chance. Whether you’re a business owner, professional or freelancer, Payoneer offers you multiple ways to get paid online by your international clients and global marketplaces — quickly, securely and at low cost.
Our mention of this is timely, as another big player in the currency exchange market, World First, has recently announced they will be discontinuing services in the US market. This is happening due to a potential sale, and it’s affecting Amazon sellers. If you’re using them you’ll need to find a new provider, and we can’t say enough good things about Payoneer.
In fact, we’ve been so happy with them we became an affiliate.
If you’re selling in multiple markets and looking for a currency solution …
Here’s to a great week.
May your stats climb ever upward.

Good news for private sellers on Amazon — which is most everyone reading this newsletter. Third-party marketplace traction is picking up on Amazon thanks to more awareness and education on the selling model: There are networks of resources for small-business owners, big brands and resellers alike that explain how to get started selling on Amazon, and how to turn a profit doing so, by updating logistical changes to the marketplace and sharing tips and tricks.
It also reflects a broader industry shift in retail toward direct sales, as more brands become less reliant on wholesale relationships, reworking supply chains and e-commerce teams to sell straight to customers.
Amazon has been responding …
TIPS & TRICKS
With the new updates to the ManageByStats interface the Columns button is available throughout your MBS.
Find it at the top menu of many of your tools, such as:
Many of these areas, such as the Customers List, for example, contain a large number of data fields for each record. Before the Columns selector you were able to view the preset columns, then needed to click into each record to see more.
Now you can select which columns to see.
Look for the Columns button and use it to create custom views of the data you need to see.
And if you’re curious, the Columns button also made the news …
THE WORLD OF AMAZON
If you’re a brand owner selling on Amazon then you know that protecting your brand can be a full-time job. Some brands are reluctant to sell their products on Amazon at all, for fear that their reputation will be tarnished by unscrupulous sellers.
Even if you’re not selling your brand on Amazon yourself, someone else probably is. It’s notoriously difficult to close off every route that can lead to your products being sold on Amazon …
Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary, and his wife was steamed.
She told him, “Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds. It better be there!”
The next morning Bob got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway and brought the box back into the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Bob has been missing since Friday.
