Inventory Management in MBS shows how many total items are accounted for, including those immediately on hand (InStock) and those on hand and inbound (Total).
Get restock alerts based on Lead Time information you provide.
See and manage:
Total Supply Quantity: the total number of units in supply, including any units that are showing as on their way to Amazon, even if they have not yet arrived.
Total Supply Cost: if Costs are entered (see Settings | SKUs | Editing COGs), the system will calculate the value of the inventory based on the COGs entered and number of units. This is for the Total number of units in supply.
InStock Supply Quantity: this is what's in stock; units that are available at Amazon for shipping.
InStock Supply Cost: if Costs are entered (see Settings | SKUs | Editing COGs), the system will calculate the value of the inventory based on the COGs entered and number of units. This is for the InStock supply units.
Restock Lead Time: this is the lead time to restock, or to order products so they are in stock before the current stock runs out.
Stock Cover Trailing: based on the last XX days of sales activity, how long the current stock will last. Calculation is based on Total Supply Quantity, or the total number of units in supply, including any units that are showing as on their way to Amazon, even if they have not yet arrived.
Estimated Re-stock Date: when you should order, based on the above criteria. There are two options for this. "Smallest" and "30 Days".
Smallest means the shortest number of days (or earliest restock date). Stock cover (how many days worth of stock are left) can be calculated using the sales over various time spans. The default is using the average daily sales over the last 30 days.
Calculate stock cover using average sales for "Yesterday", last "7 days", "90 days", "180 days" and "365 days".
As well as "Smallest" - which takes the minimum Stock Cover days value from all these - the worst-case of these.
