News For The Informed Amazon Seller.

ManageByStats This Week covers a selection of industry and Amazon news, along with updates, tips and tricks for ManageByStats.

FIRST WORD

We’re heading out to Vegas at the end of the month.  As always we’d love to see any and all of you — anyone who can make it over to say Hello, chat, or even wave as you rush by.  We love meeting you in person. Our booth announcement made the news, and we’ve got more info on the event in the MBS Out And About section.

Next issue we’re going to kick off a fun little segment.  Our plan is to start rolling out sections of an upcoming eBook, each week, culminating with the release of the full book some time in August.  We’ll talk more about that in next week’s Issue, 1829, so be sure to tune in.

Amazon Sponsored Ads.  This week, in both the Tips & Tricks section and The World Of Amazon, we review this important subject.  Amazon continues to make strides in the world of Advertising, and we, as sellers, are finding it increasingly imperative to succeed in that arena.  We have a tool that can help, and it’s already in your ManageByStats. Check out Tips & Tricks for more on how to use it …

TIPS & TRICKS

Do you know about the Advertising tool in your MBS?  Many of you are using it already, but there’s also quite a few of you who haven’t yet given it a try.  It’s a tool to help you more effectively manage your Amazon Sponsored Ads campaigns, and it’s already in your MBS.

If you haven’t yet checked it out, we offer a free, 14-day trial, where you can use all features and see what you think.  It’s in your ManageByStats under the menu item, Advertising:

Lower your ACoS, manage campaigns across multiple markets, set targets, optimize and automate keyword bids and more.  See your bid history, easily compare ad spend over specific time periods, set and monitor target ACoS (Advertising Cost of Sales).

See which ads, keywords and search terms are driving your sales.  Manage campaigns across multiple marketplaces and Seller Central accounts.

All from one, easy interface.

Once active you’ll see the full interface under the Advertising menu item in your MBS.  You can then click the Help menu to get videos and other info on using the tool. Think of it as your Amazon campaign manager on steroids, with PPC optimizing features like scheduling, automated bid adjustment, setting of target ACoS and more.

Now.  We have a question.  For those of you using the Advertising tool, and also for those of you who aren’t.  We need a little feedback on this feature. We have an amazing user base, we love you guys, and we know most of you love us.  In fact, if you’re deep in the middle of this segment, reading this paragraph you’re reading right now, chances are you at least don’t hate us.  Otherwise you wouldn’t be here.

Our goal is to give you the best possible tools we can to help you make your Amazon business sing.  Your feedback is what we use to do it. It’s how we get better. You tell us what you need, we work to deliver it.  You tell us what you like, we make it better. You tell us what’s broken, we fix it.

And so our question is, if you’re using the Advertising tool, what do you like most about it, and how can we make it better?  Is there any feature you’d like to see?

If you’re not yet using the tool, or you tried it but didn’t stick with it, what can we fix?  What would put the value in our Advertising tool to make it something that really helps you with your Amazon Sponsored Ads campaigns?

These are free-form replies.  This isn’t a formatted survey.  We’d like to hear from you, and we’d like to hear anything that’s on your mind.

Thank you!

You can just hit Reply on this newsletter and your answers will come directly to Support, and our incredible Support guys will get them over to the development team.

Once again, thank you so much.

And now on with the rest of the news!

THE WORLD OF AMAZON

We’ve talked on this subject before; Amazon’s growing advertising business has been making strides, and its impending effects will likely be widespread.  Amazon is poised to challenge the stranglehold Google and Facebook have on the internet’s ad dollars, thanks to its growing dominance in e-commerce and growing presence in the media world.

Google knows what consumers are interested in, and Facebook knows who you are. But Amazon has what many in the advertising industry regard as the most important piece of the puzzle: what people buy. And the e-commerce giant is starting to capitalize on that data in a big way …

GENERAL INTEREST

Many of us have bucket lists for things we’d like to do in life.  But have you ever thought about a professional bucket list? Things you’d like to accomplish in your business and professional career?

Here’s a fun article that takes a look at exactly that …

It Starts With Your Professional Bucket List

HUMOR

A young driver gets stuck in a snowstorm. She remembers her father’s advice; if you find yourself lost in a snowstorm, follow a snow plow to be safe.

So that’s what she does.

For about 30 minutes she follows a plow. At some point the the plow stops and the driver walks back to her car and asks what she’s doing.

After she explains, the driver nods and says, “Well, I’m done with the Walmart parking lot. I’m heading over to clear the Mall. You’re welcome to follow me there if you’d like.”
