FIRST WORD

Welcome to another week of amazing opportunity!  This is the week you move the needle on some of your more pressing targets, finally get the traction you need and accomplish major objectives.

Do we sound like an astrology page?  Apologies if so; it’s just that we’re positive you’re making things happen.  After all, if you’re getting this weekly letter it means you’re a friend of ManageByStats, and most likely a user, which automatically puts you in a whole different league.

In this issue we’ve got updates on a great new scheduling feature in our Advertising tool, which you can learn more about in MBS In The News and the Tips & Tricks section.  Also, we’re introducing a new section called Sellers Paradise, and of course the next installment in our series, The Power Of A Strong Core.

Enjoy!

MBS IN THE NEWS

We’re doubling down on announcements for a great new feature in our Advertising tool.  Scheduling is now available, and it made the news. We also cover it in this week’s Tips & Tricks section.

SELLERS PARADISE

A new segment this week, where we’ll feature news and articles on selling and online retail in general, which we hope will make your day a little better.

To kick it off here’s a short but helpful tip for keeping your private label brand protected on Amazon.

TIPS & TRICKS

This week we’ve released a brand-new, exclusive-to-MBS feature for our Advertising tool:

Scheduling.

That’s right.  You can now schedule your Keywords, pause and boost bids, in order to save unneeded expense, or change bids during peak hours.

In your Advertising tool, Keywords, for each Keyword, you’ll now see a Scheduling icon:

Click the icon to schedule that keyword.  Select either Pause or Boost:

Time slots during which that Keyword will be paused (no bids) are marked blue.  Time slots during which the bid will be boosted are marked yellow.

For the Boost time slots, select whether you want to boost by Percentage, Amount or Precise Amount:

Amount will add the specified dollar amount to the current bid.  Precise Amount will change the bid to the indicated amount.

When any scheduling parameters have been set for a Keyword, the scheduling icon turns blue:

THE WORLD OF AMAZON

For us Amazon sellers our platform of choice continues to surge in both financial growth and market dominance.  Industry research firm eMarketer expects Amazon to generate $258 billion in e-commerce sales this year, a 29% increase from 2017, and perhaps more ominously, forecasts that it will capture almost half of all sales made online.

Specifically, the online retailer is poised to capture a staggering 49.1% of the e-commerce market in 2018, a 560 basis point jump from a year ago, and will control 5% of all retail sales of any kind in the U.S. …

THE POWER OF A STRONG CORE

Welcome to our fourth installment.  Thanks for sticking with us on this journey.  We’re excited it’s rolling along on schedule.

This week’s article in the series is on customer relationship management, and covers some pretty sweet tips on how to turn your customers into fans …

Customer Relationship Management.  Framework Or Strategy?

HUMOR

Teacher: “Johnny, if I gave you 2 cats and another 2 cats and another 2, how many would you have?”

Johnny: “Seven.”

Teacher: “No, listen carefully …  If I gave you two cats, and another two cats and another two, how many would you have?”

Johnny: “Seven.”

Teacher: “Let me put it to you differently.  If I gave you two apples, and another two apples and another two, how many would you have?”

Johnny: “Six.”

Teacher: “Good.  Now if I gave you two cats, and another two cats and another two, how many would you have?”

Johnny: “Seven!”

Teacher: “Johnny, where in the heck do you get seven from?!”

Johnny: “Because I’ve already got a freaking cat!”
