ManageByStats This Week – Issue 1820

“Information for the informed Amazon seller”

ManageByStats This Week covers a selection of industry and Amazon news, along with updates, tips and tricks for ManageByStats.

FIRST WORD

To kick things off this week, we’ve got a great webinar opportunity coming up. See the Special Offer section for more on that. We don’t offer these often, but this is another which we feel will serve you, our ManageByStats users, well.

We were in the news for some new features we think you’re going to enjoy. And this week we bring a little more clarity to how exactly Templates work in SellerMail. See What Users Are Asking.

Also, two-factor authentication, or 2FA; you’ve heard of it, you’re using it (at least with your Amazon account), but we’ve got a little more insight for you under General Interest.

Here’s to your success.

MANAGEBYSTATS IN THE NEWS

The parade of updates continues, moving along steadily as we work to make your ManageByStats more and more helpful in your quest for success on Amazon. As you know we’re great with data, but one thing we’ve been wanting to do is add more at-a-glance visual representation to that information. We’re calling these new updates “Hubs”, and we were in the news for the release of the first version …

ManageByStats Advances To Next Level With Additions To Interface

One of our core goals is helping you find better ways to succeed. Usually we do that through incredible tools, though we do occasionally have a source of brilliant insight we feel is important to share. This is one of those times. It’s an exclusive Seller Success Training Webinar upcoming that we’d like to encourage you to attend.

This one is hosted by our partners and friends at AMZ & Beyond, with Norman Farrar and Dave Kettner, and is an exclusive for our ManageByStats users.

It will cover things like:

The webinar is next Tuesday (the 22nd) at 7 pm EST. We’ll be sending a few emails leading up to it, so look for those. We hope you’ll take advantage of this great opportunity.

And, as always, we’re very happy to have you with us.

WHAT USERS ARE ASKING

Please explain Templates in SellerMail.

This is a great point for clarification. We have “templates” in two places in SellerMail, which has raised this question.

First, let us say that Templates are not required. You do not need to use Templates when creating email rules in your SellerMail.

That said, here’s a definition of what a Template is.

Template

  1.  a form or document that has the basic format of something and that can be used many different times.
  2.  something that is used as an example of how to do, make, or achieve something else.

In SellerMail a template is a pre-written email rule which you can either use as-is, or use to modify and create your own email rule. A Template can either be one you’ve written, or one of ours.

There are two kinds of Template in SellerMail.

  • Templates you create and save
  • Our Templates

Templates You Create And Save

If it’s a Template you create and save, you do it in your SellerMail here:

Creating your own Templates is not required. However, if you know you’ll be creating multiple variations of the same email rule, creating and having a Template may save you time.

If you’ve created your own Template, when creating new email rules you can choose to use your Templates and select from those you’ve created:

Our Templates

Or, you can use our Templates. When creating a new email rule choose the “Use Our Templates” option. A blank email rule is created, and you simply select from the list of available Templates.

You can choose one and it will fill in the Email Body. You can then review it, use it if you like it, or make another selection. You can select and review until you find the one you want. After that just edit and save the email rule normally.

WHAT USERS ARE SAYING

“ManageByStats saves me hours every day as my go-to Amazon Seller performance dashboard. My story is probably like yours: As my Amazon Seller business continued to grow, I found myself spending way too much time collecting data from various Amazon reports and manually inputting them into my own spreadsheets, just to see how my products were performing. As my sales grew and my products multiplied, I was going crazy trying to make sense of it all and realized that there must be some software that can automate this. I searched all around in various marketing forums and finally got a referral to ManageByStats. I immediately registered, linked up my Amazon Seller API and within days I had all my historical sales data organized and easy to read. I could now see performance on a per-product basis, see who my top customers are and many more useful data points. Now that I’m a few months in, I couldn’t imagine running my business without ManageByStats. Thank you ManageByStats for making my life easier and my business more profitable.”

THE WORLD OF AMAZON

Amazon’s getting into everything these days, why not cryptocurrency? Crypto is only getting bigger, and its widespread adoption – in some form or another – is almost guaranteed. We thought it would be fun to imagine an Amazon move into that space.

Rumors that they may soon be making a foray into the cryptocurrency market have been circulating since late 2017, sparked by a series of crypto-related domain name registrations made by Amazon’s legal department in October …

While Amazon has made no announcements regarding the registrations and is tight-lipped regarding any potential blockchain-related movements, speculation is rife within the cryptocurrency community about the potential implications of the move …

GENERAL INTEREST

In today’s ever-connected, digital environment, there is increased risk of company data breaches and sensitive customer information falling into the hands of talented hackers. With recent large-scale corporate exposures of personal data, such as Target or Equifax, it’s more and more common that Americans have personally experienced some sort of data breach …

Two-factor authentication (2FA), also known as multi-factor authentication, makes it harder for criminals to steal user information or access accounts with just a username and password obtained through hacking or other illegal methods …

The Rise Of 2FA

HUMOR

How come we choose from just two people to run for president and over fifty for Miss America?

I signed up for an exercise class and was told to wear loose fitting clothing.

If I HAD any loose fitting clothing, I wouldn’t have signed up in the first place!

When I was young we used to go ‘skinny dipping.’ Now I just ‘chunky dunk.’

In the word scent, is the “s” silent or the “c”?

Why is there a “d” in fridge, but not in refrigerator?

Who knew what time it was then the first clock was made?

RECENT MBS HEADLINES (AS SEEN ON REDDIT)

FBA Sellers have been seen displaying frightening levels of confidence. These brash, fearless attitudes have been making some witnesses nervous. Questions remain, but indications are that this incredible poise is driven by the use of ManageByStats software tools for Amazon sellers …

Fans of ManageByStats have been quick to point out that, while ManageByStats’ software tools for FBA sellers do contribute wildly to their unprecedented success selling on Amazon, the software does not grant eternal life as was previously reported …
