You’ll notice the new In This Issue box. Each week that will hit the bullet points of the main items in that issue. We’ll also call out our featured topics here, in the First Word.
This week under The World Of Amazon we give you some insight for Prime Day. In Tips & Tricks we review a tool that’s been in your ManageByStats for some time, but not everyone is aware of; SellerBlast. Facebook Offline Events were launched a year ago, but do you know how to take advantage? Check out the General Interest section for a primer. And we announce a partnership with Payoneer.

TIPS & TRICKS
Did you know you can create targeted email campaigns to your customers using SellerBlast? And did you know you can set those campaigns to send to your customers’ Amazon email addresses?
Many of you are using the SellerBlast tool in your ManageByStats. It’s free if you’re just sending to Amazon email addresses, and if you have your SellerMail enabled. If you’re not yet using SellerBlast, go to the SellerBlast menu item in your MBS and follow the steps there to activate it.
What SellerBlast does is allow you to create lists of your customers, using the same criteria you would use to generate reports, then create campaigns to send emails to those lists. In this way, for example, you could create and send coupons to buyers of Product X, or any other sort of communication you’d want to send to a target audience.
There are three basic steps to creating a SellerBlast campaign:
- Create a list (SELLERBLAST > CONTACT LISTS)
- Create a message (SELLERBLAST > TEMPLATES)
- Create a campaign (SELLERBLAST > CAMPAIGNS)
Creating a list is the first step. To build the list use the list builder under Contact Lists to specify your audience.
Next you’ll draft the template that will be used to create the email messages that will be sent. Insert variables, images, specify coupons and use our editor to get it looking the way you want.
Lastly, you’re ready to create your campaign. Using the Template and Contact List you created, specify the rules for sending and you’re off.
Note that Amazon has limits on how many messages can be sent through the system. SellerBlast is aware of these limits and throttles the send rate accordingly. This means that if your list is large, it may take a few days to complete sending.
See the KB article on SellerBlast for more info:
With Prime Day coming this might be a good opportunity to direct any of your favorite customers to any deals you may be running.
THE WORLD OF AMAZON
Amazon’s fourth annual Prime Day is a month away, and it’s unclear who’s more excited; the shoppers or the sellers. As a seller you’re also a shopper, in theory, so you may even be double excited.
The date hasn’t yet been announced, but most predictions are saying Tuesday, July 10th. All we know is that it’s time to prepare — and in fact any inventory that needs to arrive in time for Prime Day needs to get there quickly. Check Amazon for the latest cutoff dates.
Other than having adequate inventory, what else does Amazon suggest?
Do A PPC/Keyword Audit
Take a look at all facets of your PPC campaigns and consider raising your budget on top keywords. Traffic on Prime Day will be through the roof, with other sellers scrambling for impressions (and clicks), so make sure your keywords are performing and make sure you’ve got a budget that will allow them to rank when people search.
Check Your Images
As you know the image is a big part of the hook that converts an impression to a click, and hopefully to a sale. It’s worth taking a fresh look as this huge sale day approaches.

GENERAL INTEREST
Facebook Offline events were launched exactly one year ago, and have been gaining in popularity ever since.
Here’s some great, simplified info on that highly effective feature …
HUMOR
Paddy Whack was a banker. One day a frog walked into the bank. He came up to Paddy’s counter and asked for 20 knickknacks.
Paddy had no idea what knickknacks were, but the frog explained it’s a currency. He then said his dad was very sick and they needed a loan of 20 knickknacks to go home from their vacation.
Paddy, confused, went to his manager, and told him about the situation.
The manager shook his head; “It’s a knickknack, Paddy Whack, give the frog a loan! His old man is going home.”
QUOTE OF THE WEEK
“Work while they sleep. Learn while they party. Save while they spend. Live like they dream.”
