FIRST WORD

You’ll see us continuing to promote upcoming events, as we’ll be in attendance at several big, Amazon-specific shows over the next several months.  Check the MBS Out & About section each week for more on what’s coming and where to find us.

We just did a big special for the Finder tool in ManageByStats.  If you’re already a user of MBS then you already have it, and it’s free.  In Tips & Tricks we talk about this great product finding tool, and how to take best advantage.

Last year Amazon made the headway expected in advertising, and is moving strong into Q1 of 2019.  Google and Facebook still dominate, but Google actually lost ground, and Amazon is closing the gap.  More and more Sellers are putting more and more focus on winning in the Sponsored Products Ads space, and we’ve got the insight under The World Of Amazon.

Here’s to your success.

SELLERS’ PARADISE

Using storytelling in your blog post will – if you do it the right way – make your post a more engaging one. Your blog post will become something people want to read. Stories increase the attention of your audience.

If you use stories the right way, stories will help you to make your message more clear. Stories can help you to provide proof for your argumentation. They can add clarity. My story about Alice (see image above) is written in order to help people understand the importance of a clean site structure. This is a rather difficult subject to grasp. A story adds clarity.

Most importantly, people will remember your story, and with that, they’ll remember the message of your post or even your brand. If you use stories in a good way, you could even inspire people to take action. Maybe you’ll inspire people to clean up their website or to get started with storytelling in their blog posts and presentations …

What Is Storytelling And Why Should You Use It?

TIPS & TRICKS

Possibly one of the biggest unsung heroes in your MBS is the Finder tool.  This is the product finding tool, it’s relatively new, it’s in your ManageByStats and it’s free.

You can learn all about it here:

Learn How To Use Your Free Finder Tool

The tip we’d like to give you is that you can specify multiple criteria when making selections.  For example, let’s say you want to look at products in three categories:

  • Baby
  • Home & Kitchen
  • Health & Household

And you’d like to specify certain other criteria, such as:

  • BSR between 400 and 800
  • Price between $20 and $70
  • Less than 900 reviews

To do that you would just need to make your category selections in the left pane:

This will show all results from those categories.  You can then further refine the results using the selection boxes:

Use any combination of Category and selection boxes to refine your search to match exactly the criteria you’re after, and see just how useful Finder can be when looking for your next great product to sell.

THE WORLD OF AMAZON

Amazon will be the “big winner” in the digital advertising world for 2019.

That’s according to a new report that shows Amazon continuing to take digital advertising market share from Google and Facebook.

eMarketer projects that Amazon will see its U.S. ad business grow by more than 50 percent this year while its market share increases to 8.8 percent.

Google and Facebook are still firmly entrenched atop the digital ad spend rankings, but for the first time the combined share of the duopoly will drop in 2019 …

Amazon Takes More Digital Advertising Market Share

Let us also throw in a plug for our ManageByStats Advertising tool, which can help you manage your Amazon Sponsored Ads.

It’s in your MBS, on the menu under Advertising, and you can activate it with a free 14-Day trial.

HUMOR

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and their manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie pops out.

The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish.”

“Me first! Me first!” says the administration clerk. “I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.”

Poof! He’s gone.

“Me next! Me next!” says the sales rep. “I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.”

Poof! She’s gone.

“OK, you’re up,” the Genie says to the manager.

The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story:

Always let your boss have the first say.
